It’s finally On

There is finally a date for the start of production of The Hobbit!

Filming of The Hobbit, begins 21st of March 2011. There has been much to put a spanner in the wheels for this production.

The Hobbit starts filming on March 21st, 2011

First there was a problem with the production company, MGM (Metro Goldwyn Mayer) that went bankrupt. Then director Guillermo Del Toro quit the project (presumably because of all the delays). After that, the Actors’ Guild in New Zealand, demonstrated and said they were unfairly treated (not really with them in that question…). When Warner Brothers (the production company who took over from MGM), New Zealand’s Prime Minister, Sir. Peter Jackson and others, had finally come to an agreement, and the film was scheduled to be filmed in Feberuari, Sir Peter Jackson fell ill.

Sir. Peter Jackson will direct the movie.

Sir. Peter Jackson had a perforated ulcer and was admitted to hospital where he underwent surgery. He is now on the mend and the start date of filming the already very famous movie, is the 21 March 2011.

Swedish actor Mikael Persbrandt is going to be Beorn in The Hobbit.

Hope they get started now and that nothing else will stand in the way of this film being made. I also hope I can get a small job on the movie … I emailed the production company today, and hope for an answer in not too long. I am just going to imagine myself there on the set of The Hobbit, working and doing a terrific job. Get a glimpse of the swedish actor Michael Persbrandt in his role as Beorn, or James Nesbitt (an old favorite actor from my favorite series Cold Feet), which will play Bofur (one of the dwarfs). Would also love to get a glimpse of Sir. Ian McKellen, Cate Blanchett, Christopher Lee, Elijah Wood, Sir Peter Jackson himself (though him I have already seen), and many more. I am picturing  all this and imagine that I have a  job on the set of The Hobbit. Yep! That’s what the book The Secret says you should do. Hehe. = o)

Hugs!
